About the Experience
About Sue
Sue Williams has been a Professional Horse Trainer for over 40 years, starting, training and showing many Open, Amateur, and Non-Pro horses to a State & National level, in both western and English disciplines. Sue has competed since 1978 in Victoria and is still successfully competing in Ranch events today. Sue established the Ranch Horse Association in October 2022 and holds the President position.
About Ranch Riding
Ranch events are judged on the ability to work a horse at a forward moving pace, in a natural frame, whilst testing the skill and versatility of horse & rider. In Ranch Riding a horse’s abilities and manners are put to the test through a series of transitions and manoeuvres. A ranch horse should be attentive to its surroundings, display forward moving in working gaits and be ridden with a light contact.
